Read a whole book at a time. Here's a good plan to follow...

~ Remember These 8 Facts No Matter How You Feel ~

 

1.  GOD LOVES YOU!  ~   John 3:16

               •   We are sinners... separated from God.  ~   Romans 3:23, 6:23

               •   Jesus bridges the gap between man and God!  ~   John 14:6, Romans 5:8

               •   We must PERSONALLY receive Christ!  ~   John 1:12, Romans 10:9-10

 

2.  How do I KNOW I am a Christian?

     God's Word says you are...and God does not lie!

     Read the following scriptures: I John 5:13, Romans 10:9-10, Philippians 1:6

 

3.  What's happened to me now that I've asked Jesus into my heart?

     You've just become a new creature!

     Read the following scriptures: II Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 2:1-7, Galatians 5:1

 

4.  You are now a Son/Daughter of God! Love produces children.

     Children are a part of a family. YOU belong to the Family of God!!

     Read the following scriptures: John 1:12, Ephesians 2:13-22

 

5.  You couldn't do anything to earn God's forgiveness, it comes through His Son Jesus.

     Read the following scriptures: John 3:16-17, Romans 6:23, Isaiah 64:6,    Ephesians 2:8-10

 

6.  What if I sin again? What should I do?

     Ask God to forgive you.

      Read the following scriptures:  I John 1:9, I John 2:1-2

 

7.  What is God's greatest commandment?

     That we love Him more than any other thing, and that we love others as we love ourselves.

     Read the following scriptures: Matthew 22:37-40, John 13:34-35

 

8.  What's this about the devil giving me a bad time?

     That's right! He doesn't want you to live for God. He'll do everything he can to discourage you and to make you question your salvation. . . he is a liar!

     Read the following scriptures: John 8:44, RESIST him and he will FLEE!  James 4:7-8

 

~ Some Basics From God's Word ~

 

Talk to God everyday.

John 15:7, John 14:13-14

 

Read your Bible daily.

Acts 17:11, II Timothy 3:15-17, II Timothy 2:15

 

Attend a Bible-preaching church.

Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:46-47

 

Attend as many Sunday services, midweek services and/or home fellowship groups as you can. They will help you to grow and become grounded in your faith! Share your new faith with others.

Put away your sinful ways.

Colossians 3:1-5, Matthew 16:24-28, James 1:13-24, Ephesians 4:21-32, and Romans 13:13-14

 

Follow the Lord in water baptism.

Seek the Lord for a deeper Spiritual experience.

Acts 1:5, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 10:44-46

 

Worship and Praise the Lord.

Psalm 34:1, Psalm 33:1-3, Psalm 48:1, Psalm 92:1-5

 

Tithe unto the Lord.

Malachi 3:8-10, II Corinthians 9:6-8, Luke 6:38, and 11:42

 

Follow God's plan for family life.

Ephesians 5:22-6:4, I Peter 3:1-12, Proverbs 13:24, and 22:6

 

Be careful of your actions!  You are God's representative.

Matthew 5:13-16, I Peter 2:11-23, I Thessalonians 5:22

 

Learn Godly principals for a victorious life.

Psalm 37 verses 1-11, 18, 23-24, 27-28, 34 and Philippians 4:8

 

Respect those who are in authority over you in the Lord.

I Thessalonians 5:12-21, Hebrews 13:7, and verse 17, I Timothy 5:17-18

 

Watch for the Lord's return!

Matthew 24:27-31, verses 36, 42-44, I Thessalonians 4:13-18

 

Obey all of the Commands of God's Word.

James 1:22, Psalm 119:11 verse 15, Proverbs 3:5-13 and 7:1-3

Rejoice when trials come! They're good for you and help you to grow.
