“There are two fires kindled in the earth. One fire consumes and the other which glorifies; a consuming fire and a non-consuming fire. As we walk in the Spirit the consuming fire is quietly doing its work, taking from us the dross and making us one with the Spirit of the Living God; so bringing peace. As we walk with God, the fire which takes away our dross is burning. In contrast, the Adamic forces operating within mankind are also burning fires. We burn with the fires of hatred, justice, malice and greed. People are consumed by their desires to rise to the Adamic heights, only to come ultimately to the realization that it profits us nothing for though we were to gain the whole world we should lose our own souls.

Our God never courses us into paths of obedience, but He tells us what the end of the path of our choice will be. If we sow to the flesh, we shall of the flesh reap corruption; but if we sow to the Spirit, we shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. God has not left us in ignorance. He has plainly told us of the decadency of man, on the one side, and the exaltation of the Spirit-led man on the other. As we contemplate the choices of this hour which are given to man, we are hastened to arrive at our decision by the cry of, “Fire! Fire! The world is on fire!” Why hesitate between two decisions? If God be God then follow Him; but if Baal-the fire god of the pagan natures-then follow him. But know in your mind that the harvest is of your sowing.

“He that keepeth his life shall lose it; but he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” When we walk with God, we discover a life set free from the bondage which we, hitherto, have known while walking in the flesh. He came as the Great Emancipator. He came to set us free. He came that we might have life and that we might have it more abundantly.  Why walk in darkness when Christ has offered Himself as the Light of your Life?
