Is this the end or the beginning....of redemption
"In long consideration and study of God's Word, it is clear that God is not only going to do exactly what He says, but He is going to do exactly as He says. God has tied Himself irrevocably to human co-operation in the work of redemption. He has made man's faith a determining factor in the execution of divine purposes. " We....as workers together with Him (Greek fellow-workmen) beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain." 2 Corinthians 6:1. He who has constituted us His fellow-workman, is He who said, "My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure....I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it".
This is the season of God's final outpouring upon the earth...of His grace toward us and out from us to others, that they will hear, know and come to find that wonderful love and forgiveness that cleanses us from sin and unrighteousness...and continues to do so. But, it is with a command from Him to us...to go forth in His name in the power of the Holy Spirit to co-operate with and make our faith a determining factor for the execution of His divine purposes.
Some argue about style of ministry, lost causes, social gospel, missional or traditional. It is all just time spent in discussion.....when faith in His Word and purposes would direct us to be redemptive and part of the determining factor that can draw a world in such need to deliverance, healing, and love that reaches beyond ourselves into the lives of those hurting, bent and broken. Hebrews 13:8 is so true; "and He left us with His Holy Spirit" ......now lets move with Him in purposes that are everlasting and not just conversation and style. What the world needs is the Power of God, through His church which is alive and well and yet could use a dose of "stop the non-sense and self importance"; after all the King is speaking, it's time to listen and obey....not interrupt and assume.
